スワヒリ語初級コース終了。Fr.が来てくれました！

皆さんこんにちは。

日本ではGWですね。

タンザニアに来て3週経ち、今週で、語学学校のスワヒリ語初級コースが終わりました。この後、初中級、中級、上級、職業訓練コース…と、あと２ヶ月、スワヒリ語の勉強は続きます。今の所の成果は、挨拶と自己紹介、簡単な日記が書けるようになり、数字とスワヒリ時間を覚えて、お店やレストランで注文は出来るようになった…という所でしょうか。せっかく話しかけてくださる皆さんの言葉をちゃんと聴き取ってお返事したいと思う今日この頃です。

今週のハイライトは、私たちが7月から暮らす予定の、タボラという地方から、お世話になる保健局長さんがダルエスサラームに来てくれたこと、そして、彼と一緒に、タンザニアの厚生省や医師会や看護助産師協会へ出かけ、タンザニアの医師登録(私)と看護師登録(夫)をしたことです。結局、医師登録の方だけで3日かかりました。看護師登録の方は5月初旬に完了になりそうです。バスで14時間かけて首都まで来てくれて、暑い街中を手続きのために一緒に歩き回り、厚生省に日参して、登録証を手に入れてくれた局長さんのFr.Alexに、深く感謝です。7月からタボラでお仕事を頑張ろうと思います。写真は、家の前で出会ったチョウチョと、Fr.Alexとの1枚です。

Hello friends, how are you these days?

We’ve finished Swahili Beginner’s course in last 3 weeks. From now on, the course will continue to be Advance-Beginner, Intermediate, Advance and Professional.…

What we’ve learned so far? Basic greeting, self-introduction,  writing a simple diary, understanding numbers and Swahili-time (It gets behind 6 hours from usual western-time)… So now we can order at restaurants and shops, We progress little by little…Pole-Pole… We hope, in near future, we could reply properly to the kind friends around us when they speak to us in Kiswahili.

This week we had visitor. He’s the chief of health office in Tabora Archdiocese. He came to support us to obtain the certificate of Doctor and Nurse registration in Tanzania. We visited many public offices, and finally we got the certificate for Doctor’s license! It took 3 days to get it…The one of Nurse’s will come in May.
